Description
The Thunderbird was the Ford Motor Company's first two-seat sports car, and 1956 was the second year this American icon was sold. 1956 was also the first year that Ford made 312 cubic inch, overhead valve V-* available for this car. With a 340 horsepower engine, automatic transmission, and power steering, the Thunderbird was perhaps one of the most enjoyable cars to drive. Some of its other luxurious amenities included rich upholstery power seats, power windows, and a choice between a convertible soft-top or a removable hard-top.
