Young Terk Tarzan Walt Disney Classics Collection No. 1204803

This limited-edition Young Terk maquette from Walt Disney Pictures 37th feature-length animated film Tarzan (1999) has been recreated from the original model which Disney animators studied during the production of the film. The Young Terk maquette appropriately reveals the comic nature of the character in the film.

In order to create limited-edition maquettes, Walt Disney Art Classics returned to the original maquettes used by animators during production and made molds from those models. From the molds, the limited-edition maquettes were cast with resin. The molds used to cast the maquettes will be destroyed upon completion of the edition.

During the production of Tarzan, the original maquette was sculpted from conceptual sketches. The finalized sculpture was cast and the resulting maquettes were distributed to animators working on the film. Throughout production, animators kept their maquettes on their drafting tables, frequently studying them in order to achieve a consistent look for the character from all angles and perspectives.

There is some light damage/cracking on the tree limb. The rest of the piece appears to be in perfect condition. Please see pictures for better detail. Certificate of authenticity is included. The box has some minor creasing and wear. The case for the figure has been taped over to ensure it is firm.
