Virunga is a fuzzy, pale grey gorilla with a smooth grey face, hands and feet. He has black button eyes under a deep-set brow and a black nose. He has a Beanie Baby of the Month (BBOM) badge on the front of his chest.

Cheeks is made from a dark brown speckled material with dark brown hands, feet, ears and eyebrows. He has brown and black button eyes and a peach colored button nose. His face is bright red surrounded by pale blue and black striped material. His rear end is made from a tie-dyed material.

Cheeks was introduced on 1st May 1999. He retired on 23rd December 1999. - Congo was released on 15th June 1996. His birthday is on 9th November 1996. He retired on 31st December 1998. - Virunga was released on 2nd June 2003. He was retired on 1st July 2003.
