host country when they beat the
defending champions Brazil 3-0 to
win the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
The French version of Champion is a fuzzy, brown bear with black button eyes and a button nose with the French flag on it. It wears a gold ribbon tied around it's neck. on it's chest is a badge with the words "2002 FIFA World Cup" on it.
Champion the Bear was introduced on 4th April 2002. - There are 32 different versions of Champion, each representing the countries in the 2002 World Cup. This particular bear represents France. - Each version of Champion the Bear was retired separately on the day that the country was eliminated from the 2002 World Cup. - The French Champion the Bear retired on 31st May 2002. - Collect them all!
The item is in mint to near mint condition and comes with the original tag.
