Description

The Simpsons, created by cartoonist Matt Groening, first appeared in 1987 as a series of 30-second shorts, produced by Groening, for the FOX series, 'The Tracey Ullman Show.' Response to the spots were so overwhelming that The Simpsons earned a show of their own, premiering on FOX as a half-hour Christmas special on December 17, 1989, and then as a regular series on January 14, 1990. This figure depicts The Simpsons character 'Smithers'. He is the consummate executive and personal assistant of Springfield Nuclear Power Plant's owner, Mr. Burns, and is usually treated unfairly.
