Steiff Club Christmas Musical Box 2003 No. 037795 USED

This elaborately crafted musical box has a wind-up mechanism which plays the well-known Christmas carol 'Silent night, holy night'. There are lovely wintery illustrations on the side of the box. On the rotating disc is an evocative Christmas scene, elaborately crafted by hand in the old tradition. It shows a brown deer lying between snow-covered trees with a Teddy bear by its side, wearing a red coat and a cap, carrying a lantern and sporting a long full beard. This Santa Claus is pushing a sledge loaded with presents in front of him. Both the deer and the Teddy bear have a white, consecutively numbered ear tag and a gold-plated 'Button in Ear'.

The box has minor edge/corner wear, dents, tears, and scuffing. The box has come unglued at one of the top seams. The music box no longer works. The key can no longer be turned (tight). Missing one of the presents. The coat has some staining.
