In 1880, the Margarete Steiff Company was born. During the celebration of their 100th anni- versary in 1980, a toy museum was opened to the public at the factory site at Giengen an der Brenz. Displayed are stuffed animals, dolls and wooden toys produced by Steiff since the com- pany was founded.
A "Museum Collection" was inaugurated in 1984, which authentically recreates cherished heirlooms. This is a result of a tremendous amount of interest being shown by collectors and historians throughout the world. Each "Museum Collection" piece will be offered as limited editions. You are invited to see the originals at our museum.
