Description
To commemorate Fisher-Price's 75th anniversary in 2005, renowned artist David McMacken (1944-2019) was commissioned to paint a retrospective of four classic, wooden Fisher-Price toys. Each picture depicts a rendering of the toy as if in motion through a bucolic spring pasture. Trees, flowers, and insects add to the lively, happy scene.
They were produced as 9"x12" art prints, feature a retro Fisher-Price logo in the bottom left corner, and McMacken's painted signature on the bottom right. - Prints include Dr. Doodle, circa 1931 - Teddy Xylophone, circa 1946 - Queen Buzzy Bee, circa 1956 - and Moo-oo Cow, circa 1958 - Professionally matted and framed in red composite 12 x 15 frames - David McMacken's 50-year career included creating famous album covers, wall art, and animation backgrounds.
The frames show mild scuffing and have some superficial damage on the bottom edge and the inside of the top beveled edge.
