Czesc! (Hello!) I'm Polish Barbie. Let me tell you about my beautiful country! Poland is a land of many forests and rivers. To the north, we are bordered by the Baltic Sea We are also neighbors of Germany and Czechoslovakia! Many Poles live in our capital city of Warsaw, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Settled by the 11th century, it is the site of many castles and palaces. You must visit the Wilanow Palace to see its many paintings, sculptures and furnishings. It is still used today for important state functions.

The Polish countryside is scenic and full of funt. We love to celebrate and have many festivals, where everyone dances the polka, a dance we invented in Poland! There are also many beautiful animals in the Polish forests. You might see a lynx or a boar, wolves or even brown bears.

Polish children love to play sports. While the summers are warm and ideal for playing soccer, winters are very cold. During those months, we have fun skiing, skating and playing hockey!

My traditional folk costume is a lovely example of festival attire. Although each region has its own style, almost all feature a decorated vest like mine, with a striped skirt and lace apron. My blonde hair is worn in two thick braids I have a beautiful crown of flowers in my hair, tied with a pretty ribbon. I hope one of the boys will ask me to dance with him!
