Description

The F-15 Eagle is one of the most technologically advanced jets of the U.S. Air Force. It's highly maneuverable and, powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100 engines, it can reach speeds higher than Mach 2.5. Over 63' long, it was designed and built by McDonnell Douglas. In 1/48 scale, this model is 15.875" long (40.3 cm). The Kit is molded in gray with clear cockpit canopy. Detailed cockpit includes ejection seats and electronic equipment bay. Pilot, ground crewman and optional ECM pod are included. Decal sheet has markings for three different aircraft. May be painted to match photos on box. Cement and paint not included.

The F-15 Eagle is regarded as the most sophisticated combat aircraft ever created. Capable of speeds in excess of 1600 miles per hour, the "Eagle" is powered by two Pratt & Whitney F-100 engines that enable it to out-maneuver an adversary. The "Eagle" is a multi-purpose aircraft, yet it is specifically designed as a fighter interceptor. Guided by on board electronics, the F-15 is armed with eight air intercept missiles and an internal 20 millimeter Vulcan cannon. - Replacing ageing Phantoms, the F-15 represents an interceptor that is significantly more advanced than its contemporaries. This technological advantage provides "Eagle" pilots with a decided advantage in the deadly realm of air to air combat. - Molded in Gray - Ages 12 through adult - Monogram Models 1979
