Minicraft model kits - legends in the making introducing the American Airlines DC-4! As production of the DC-4 began, so did World War II. All DC-4's were requisitioned for the US Military. The military designation was the C-54 Skymaster. Over 1000 of the aircraft were built during the war years. At the end of the war, the surplus DC-4's were sold to numerous airline companies. In addition to the war surplus aircraft, another 78 DC-4's were produced for commercial use. The aircraft had a flight crew of three, with standard passenger seating for 44 and a maximum of 86. This will make a unique addition to any collection - for model kit and airplane enthusiast and collectors alike!
