Ronald McDonald Houses provide a home-away-from- home for families of children under- going treatment for serious illnesses at nearby hospitals. This replica of a Ford Model A also commemorates the opening of the first Ronald McDonald House in Hobart which will be able to accommodate 10 families at a time. Among the many colorful details on this model is a map of Tasmania and the entire McDonald's gang-Ronald, Grimace, Birdie and Hamburglar.
