Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Fire Engine Series 1938 Mercedes KS15 Fire Truck

This Mercedes heavyweight was transformed from the chassis of the Mercedes Benz LOD 3750. The KS15 weighted in at over 9 tons gross vehicle weight. The KS15 featured a 400 gallon per minute front mounted water pump. The truck was powered by a 7.3 litre 6 cylinder engine which could provide up to 100 horsepower. The top speed for this vehicle was approximately 40 miles per hour. The KS15.fire truck was renown for its ability to respond to a fire scene with as many as fifteen firemen and a full complement of fire fighting apparatus.

The package has light wear in the form of small bends, edge wear, and a small tear on the front near the bottom corner. Additionally, the inner plastic tray is damaged, but the vehicle is in good condition.
