The first show to be filmed live before a studio audience, I Love Lucy is just as beloved as it was when it premiered on October 15, 1951. Here's a highlight from one of the most requested episodes, which aired first on May 5, 1952: Ricky gets a job as a host of a television show, and Lucy (as usual) schemes to be a part of the act. She lands the part of the "Vitameatavegamin Girl" in the show's commercial, but after several rehearsals the product gets the better of our heroine, and she manages, once again, to botch Ricky's big chance. "So why don't you join the thousands of happy, peppy people and get a great big bottle of Vitameatavegamin tomorrow. That's Vita... Meata... Vegamin."
