Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of his '68 television special. The name of the TV show was simply "Elvis," but it would come to be known as the '68 comeback special. This was Elvis' first performance before a live audience since the benefit in Hawaii seven years earlier. This seven year period had been a busy one for Elvis. He starred in eighteen movies, recorded albums, and became a husband and a father. The authentic Elvis Presley doll commemorates the 30th anniversary of the '69 TV special. Elvis is wearing a re-creation of the two-piece black "leather" outfit, designed especially for the show.. evocative of the era when he had first been proclaimed the "King of Rock 'N Roll." he wears black boots, a black watch and a "ring" on each hand. Holding his guitar with a multicolored strap, he stands fully poseable in front of a microphone.
