Description
In April 1940 the British Purchasing Commission negotiated with North American Aviation to design and build an advanced fighter for the RAF, the result is North American P-51 Mustang. It was a famous single-seat fighter aircraft in WWII. The P-51 B started to arrive in England in August and October 1943. The P-51B versions were sent to 15 fighter groups that were part of the 8th and 9th Air Forces in England, and the 12th and 15th in Italy. Other deployments Included the China Burma India Theater. A total of 1988 P-51B were built.
