WWII North Africa 1942 Deutches Afrika Korps (Gefreiter) 'Reinhardt' action figure features an authentic uniform and fully detailed decorations! Eager to emulate the military successes of his German allies, Mussolini ordered his Army to invade Egypt from the Italian colony of Libya! Outnumbering the British forces by five to one, an overwhelming victory was expected. However by February 1941, a British Commonwealth counter-offensive had forced the invaders back into Libya with loses nearing 130,000 men and some 380 tanks. Mussolini had been offered German assistance prior to their offensive. Now it seemed absolutely necessary if the Italians were to maintain any presence in North Africa.
