Dragon WWII Crimea 1944 Wehrmacht Panzerjager NCO Gerhard Action Figure 1999

This highly detailed WWII Crimea 1944 Wehrmacht Panzerjager NCO (Unterfeldwebel), Gerhard action figure is dressed in an authentic uniform featuring fully detailed decorations with a life-like head.

Increasingly on the defensive, the German soldier in 1944 had to make use of every available weapon. This Unterfeldwebel is armed with the Haft-Hohlladung 3kg anti-tank assault mine fitted with 'U' shaped magnets required the infantryman to apply it directly to the armour of the enemy tank. Obviously it took a great deal of courage or desperation to do this so from March 1942 a special badge was awarded for the single-handed destruction of a tank. Worn on the upper right arm, the tank destruction badge consisted of a metal tank mounted on a silver ribbon with black borders. This award was given for each tank destroyed with as many as four being worn.
