Description
One of the most distinctive aircraft to have taken part in the air battles of the Second World War, the Dornier Do 17 is usually referred to by its nickname and for good reason, as the Luftwaffe's Fliegender Bleistift translates to 'Flying Pencil'. The actual aircraft was a fast but under-armed light bomber designed in the 1930s, featuring a slim fuselage and a, which became a workhorse for the Luftwaffe in 1940.
