Featuring an open-topped fighting compartment, gun shield, howitzer, base with name plate, and clear display case. The Wespe 'Wasp' was introduced in 1943 to give German armored and panzergrenadier divisions a highly mobile, tracked artillery system that could keep pace with fast-moving frontline troops. Its baptism of fire on the Eastern Front, including during the Battle of Kursk in July 1943, proved it to be a devastating and highly effective weapon.
