YuYu Hakusho is a Japanese manga series by Yoshihiro Togashi about a teenage delinquent, Yusuke Urameshi, who dies saving a child and becomes a Spirit Detective, investigating supernatural threats in the human world. The story follows Yusuke and his allies-Kuabara, Kurama, and Hiei-as they fight demons and other foes, evolving from a detective story into a fighting-focused series. The manga ran from 1991 to 1994 and was adapted into a popular anime series, with both achieving significant success in Japan and North America.
