Historical Documentation: The Gorgon Horde was thousands strong, growing continuously, and the Colubrida Guard were the most feared of all. They were the generals and commanders of the Gorgon Horde. Smart and cunning, they were far more independent than the other Gorgon warriors. They were opportunistic and lay in wait for their victims, for the exact moment to strike and gain the upper hand. They were the rarest and most feared within the Gorgon arm. They were immune to the other Gorgons' venom and were cannibalistic. They used to fear to command respect while leading the other species of Gorgon into battle.

Temporal Log: The Colubrida were independent, didn't follow orders and had a free will that was constantly wearing on the patience of the stheno. The Gorgon sisters allowed it because the Colubrida were strategic geniuses. It's possible that the sisters could have been intimidated by their combined strength. It wouldn't have been unheard of for the Colubrida to have taken control of the Gorgon army after the sisters were removed from the picture.
