Description
The saga of Ralph and Alice Kramden, and their neighbors, Ed and Trixie Norton, is one of the best remembered comedy highlights of TV's golden age. The hilarious trials and tribulations of these two couples were set in a humble apartment in a run-down section of Brooklyn, unlike the more upscale settings of other sitcoms of the era. Typically, their schemes collapse which is a constant source of hilarious friction between Ralph and his more practical wife, Alice. Her interference or disapproval would often elicit Ralph's famous response "to the moon, Alice!" In the end though, Alice understood Ralph, and at the final curtain, Ralph would often beam and admit "Baby, you're the greatest!"
