The U.S.S. Stargazer was a famous deep-space exploration starship. Jean Luc Picard was a bridge officer when the captain was killed, and he took command. Promoted to captain, he commanded the Stargazer from 2333- 2355, until it was severely damaged by a Ferengi attack in the Battle of Maxia. The Stargazer also served in the Federation-Cardassian War.
