Godzilla Junior appeared in "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah," the 22nd Godzilla film released in 1995. He is the form that Little Godzilla, who lived on Birth Island in the South Pacific, took after undergoing rapid growth due to the immense energy released during the destruction of Birth Island.
Because he had interacted with humans since childhood, he harbored no hostility towards them. Even when heading north towards Adonoa Island in the Bering Sea due to his homing instinct, he responded to the telepathic communication from Miki Saegusa, a member of the G-Summit and a psychic, and Megumi Ozawa, a G-Summit American intelligence officer with telepathic abilities, and landed in Tokyo Bay. After landing, he engaged in a fierce battle with Destoroyah, and during the battle against Destoroyah's flying form, he hit it with his heat ray, setting it ablaze. However, he was no match for the fully formed Destoroyah, and was dropped from the sky onto the International Exhibition Center, where he quietly closed his eyes...
Godzilla Junior appeared as Baby Godzilla in "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla" (1993) and as Little Godzilla in "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla" (1994). Little Godzilla, in particular, contributed to gaining female fans with his adorable appearance. Afterward, he grew into Godzilla Junior, a form more typical of Godzilla, after receiving the energy from the destruction of Birth Island. He is also the only individual throughout all Godzilla films whose growth process can be observed.
