Under the cool, overcast sky overlooking the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in Scotland of the 2000 British Open, things couldn't have been any brighter for Tiger Woods upon its conclusion. With his acquisition of the Claret Jug at what is considered the birthplace of golf, Tiger broke through as only the fifth golfer, and youngest in history, to assemble a career Grand Slam. Continuing to raise the bar to levels perhaps only he can reach, Tiger shot in the 60s in each round as he claimed trophies in three of the previous four majors. His 19-under-par 269 was the lowest score in relation to par in the history of the famed course.
