Mundia Collection Odette Doll #46060

"Odette" is a reproduction of a Bebe Jumeau, the best-known French brand-name at the end of the 19th Century and the start of this century. Jumeau dolls which have survived are among hte most precious and most expensive of all old dolls.

Nevertheless, at the back of its head, it bears the inscription "Mundia," which attests to the authenticity of this Mundia Doll.

It is sculpted in a biscuit porcelain, hand-painted in the greatest detail. Its eyes f the highest quality are fitted by hand in accordance with ages-old tradition. Her wig consists of hand-produced ringlets and is made from a very beautiful fibre, akin to mohair but without its fragility.

She is clothed in a sumptuous dress, evoking the romantic splendour of the dolls of the start of the century: delicate lace, the finest tulle, hand-made nun's habit pleats, hand-crafted satin rosettes, matching hat, etc.
