Description
M.J. Hummel refers to Maria Innocentia Hummel (1909-1946), a German Franciscan nun and artist whose rosy-cheeked depictions of children formed the basis of the famous M.I. Hummel figurines. Her drawings were turned into collectible porcelain figurines by the Goebel Porcelain Manufactory, a process that began in 1935. The figurines are celebrated for their innocence, heartwarming scenes, and high-quality craftsmanship.
