Matchbox Yesteryear Fuller Smith & Turner P.L.C. Steam Wagon Vehicle 1995 NRFB

This year Fuller Smith & Turner celebrates 150 years of brewing excellence. At Fuller's today, the beers are brewed using the same traditional method and quality ingredients that have always been used.

We are proud of our heritage and Fuller's beers have a unique record. In the 16 years that CAMRA have held their Champion Beer of Britain Competition, Fuller's have won the Beer of the Year award five times. Our Ales have been Best in Class no less than thirteen times. This is an outstanding achievement by our Brewers, who through the use of traditional ingredients, great care in the brewing process and stringent quality controls, continue to produce an unmatched range of prize winning Cask Conditioned Ales.

The 1920's Foden 'C' Type- "Fuller's" The Foden 'C' Type was the final design of the over type (engine type boiler)
steam wagon developed from earlier models. This wagon was introduced in the 1920's and had a double crank compound engine which developed 23 B.H.P. at 450 R.P.M. It was fitted with spur gearing giving speeds up to 27 K.P.H. but special gearing could be ordered which would enable the wagon to achieve 42 K.P.H. double the permitted speed limit for such wagons. There is some wear on the corners and plastic display window. The cardboard is warped on the back. Side flaps do not want to stay closed. Vehicle is in great condition.
