Celtic tales of long ago tell of the faery folk who live in the enchanted land of Tir Nan Og. Their ruler is the beautiful Queen Medb (Maeve). Dressed in rich green gowns like gossamer, it is said, she drives a hazelnut shell chariot pulled by insects. A tiny trickster, she is said to be no bigger than a agate stone. Hidden in her magical land, mortals can not see her, but she comes to them as they sleep, brining dreams of love.
