There are fortunes to be made and lost in oil. Rich one moment and poor the next, or poor and then suddenly rich.
King Oil is a game in which each player buys properties, drills for oil, invests his profits in new properties, installs pipelines into other properties, collects royalties to become so powerful that he becomes KING OIL and wins the game.
The "Rig" is placed in a hole with four possible results: a dry well which produces no oil, and wells of three different depths with costs varying according to depth. - Each player as oil derricks of his color. If the Drill Rig shows a producing well, then he removes the Rig and places a derrick in this well. - There are 32 WILDCAT cards that ocntain infromation that governs the game play witch must be followed. These cards are shuffled before play begins and antime during the game when the last card has been drawn. - Includes: 1 Game Board, 1 Drill rig, and Oil Wells, Well Caps, Pipelines, Tool Sheds, and Parts Boxes for each player - 32 Wildcat Cards, and a supply of $500, $1000, $5000, and $10,000 bills

There is handwriting on the right side and a puncture in the box lid. One of the trays inside the box that holds game pieces is missing.
