I am from Ireland, the beautiful "Emerald Isle" west of England. It is called that because of its lush, green, meadowy hills. We also have many pretty lakes, and the longest river in all the British Isles, the Shannon. Our big-gest city is Dublin, the capital.

Ireland is famous for its potatoes, but our many farms also grow barley, wheat, oats, turnips and sugar beets. Cattle and dairy products are also important, and we manufacture things like crystal, cars and textiles.
