Description
The 1966 Chevrolet Nova is the second generation of what was to become a staple in the Chevy fleet. Sporting some new body designs and larger engine options, consumers had the option for a standard everyday car, or in the Southern California car culture world, the ability to modify it to new levels. Hot Wheels designer Larry Wood took the Nova and created the Super Nova. Utilizing the 1966 Nova body, Larry exposed the engine and added large drag slicks in the back, creating the aesthetics of a drag race car built for street driving. With race team blue Spectraflame paint, this car looks as good cruising or racing from light-to-light as it does parked along Van Nuys Blvd.
