Description
WWII Barbarossa 1941, WEHRMACHT INFANTRY PRIVATE (SCHÜTZE). This German soldier wears the uniform that was typical of the early years of World War II. His field blouse is the M1940 pattern with field gray collar and shoulder straps rather than the dark blue/green of the M1935 pattern. Because the tunic was not designed to be worn with the sleeves rolled up it appeared rather untidy when this was done. The insignia is limited to the national emblem and collar.
