The Heritage Village Collection includes several lighted Village series, each with its own distinctive style. Each piece is handcrafted of porcelain, individually hand painted, and characterized by the matte finish. Extensive research contributes to the charm and detail of each piece. Cast into the mold is the Department 56 logo, a guarantee of authenticity. Every year pieces are retired from production and the molds broken. This limits the number of pieces and allows for new additions. Special pieces often are created for the various Villages. These include limited editions, each adding to the unique character of the Village and capturing the imagination.
