Description
Named for John Barleycorn, a character from an ancient British folksong, this stately mansion with the mansard roof epitomizes the All Hallows' Eve tradition of decorating one's home with hand-carved pumpkins and gourds. Posed near the tidy wrought iron fence, a figure made from the last shock harvested takes shape as Barleycorn. Some believe it will bring good fortune and ward off evil spirits.
