Department 56's Abel Beesly Butcher Shop is part of the Shops at Dickens Village Series. This item is one of the Original 7 Dickens Village shops. It was introduced in January 1984 and retired December 1988.

Imagine a Village Square, reminiscent of Dicken's Merry Old England, with quaint shops, the baker, charming cottages and ivy covered church at the end of the lane. As the Village continues to grow and new designs are added, the subtle colors, snow dusted roofs and the glow from the windows will recreate the warmth and feelings of an era past.

There is some minor staining on the building. Tested to ensure that the lighting works and comes with the appropriate light cord. The outer sleeve/box has some minor creasing and wear.
