Ahoj (Hello) from Czechoslovakia, the beautiful land of snow-capped mountains, wooded forests and green farmland as far as the eye can see! My country is located in Eastern Europe, bordered by East and West Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland and the Soviet Union.

Czechoslovakia is made up of two distinct groups of people: the Czechs, who speak Czech, and the Slovaks, who speak Slovak.

Czechoslovakia has cold, snowy winters, so we love to ski and play ice hockey. In the summer when the snow melts, my country is sunny and warm. The children love to spend their days outdoors playing their favorite games: hopscotch and soccer (which we call football!).
