Barbie wearing Sophisticated Lad, is the third doll in the Collectors Request Collection, developed specifically for collectors worldwide.

She is the height of early sixties" elegance, looking very regal in her majestic evening ensemble. The year is 1963, a lime of optimism, change and sophisticated style... and Barbie is in the fashion forefront.

This Limited Edition reproduces two Barbie originals. Barbie doll with a bubble cut and pink lips, pink fingernails and toenails. And the hard-to-find fashion, "Sophisticated Lady (#993). The taffeta ballgown, trimmed in silver-tone filigree lace, has a wide, swooping skirt. Adding to the dramatic effect is a fully lined sleeveless coat with stand-up collar and silvery bead buttons. A silvery tiara, opera-length gloves, a simple strand of pink faux pearls, pink earrings and pink open-toe pumps complete her royal ensemble.
