Empress Sissy was a popular member of the nineteenth century Habsburg family in Austria. Barbie as Empress Sissy wears a beautiful recreation of a costume inspired by Austria's Habsburg-Lothinger Dynasty that was captured in an 1864 original painting of Empress Sissy by German artist Franz Xaver Winterhalter. Her extra-long braids would touch the floor if worn down- however, in true Empress style, she wears them up accented with glittering stars!
