In the Swim Fashion Pack #1398 debuted in 1964. The sleek maillot swim suit was available in bright blue, hot pink, or orange. Matching hats, white sunglasses with blue lenses, and brown plastic wedgies with metallic golden uppers completed the perfect sunny looks. From 1962-1964, Ken accompanied Barbie at the beach in red swim trunks, topped by a striped beach jacket. His cork sandals with red plastic straps completed the summer ensemble.
