Son Goku is transformed into Super Saiyan 3 for the first time during a battle against Majin Buu. Unlike the other Super Saiyan forms, the hair grows down to the waist and the eyebrows vanish completely after the transformation. The transformation can only be maintained for short periods of time because it rapidly consumes the energy.
