As Spawns' enemies have been getting harder to defeat, his costume has mutated into a more ferocious version of itself. As a living symbiote whose job is to protect Spawn, the costume knew it had to become more aggressive and more protective of its owner, letting Spawn use less of his ever dwindling power supply while in combat.

Badrock (#10114, Year 1995, Series 2):
Like Chapel, Badrock is a member of the covert government force called Youngblood. Badrock uses his super size and strength to defeat evil enemies the world over. After a freak accident in his father's lab, Badrock is a 13 year old kid, morphed into the superhero he is today. He and Overtkill continually battle each other

Spawn disguises himself in this exo-skeleton armor as a means to breach the territory of Violators and other creatures of the darklands. By camouflaging his appearance, Spawn can attack his enemies off guard while at the same time using parts of his costume as weapons of defense.

The Curse (#10124, Year 1995, Series 3):
The Curse is yet another enemy of Spawn. A self-proclaimed "Defender of the Light", The Curse is a vigilante whose only purpose in life is to rid the world of all that he considers evil. Equipped with weapons of all designs, his favorite is the chain saw like cybernetic device that attaches to his right arm, which he controls with his thought patterns.

OvertKill (#10106, Year 1994, Series 1):
Nicholas worked as a hitman for Luciano Bartino, but was considered an expendable asset. When he died in a hit, his boss didn't care for the loss. However, Luciano was approached by Eylan Hessman, Nicholas' half-brother. With funding, Hessman promised to rebuild Rocca into the ultimate killing machine. With cybernetic enhancements he became Overtkill, an unstoppable assassin, and was sent to New York to take down the mysterious Spawn.

Clown (#10105, Year 1994, Series 1):
The Clown, a short, obese, ugly clown with rotting teeth and a blue mark in the shape of an M on his face, is the alter ego of The Violator. Dubbed his secret identity and human disguise, he uses this ruse to walk among the humans to avoid detection. Though Violator has shapeshifting powers to be able to turn into anything he would wish, Violator has such distaste for humans, he shifts into this putrid form to mock them because he sees them as disgusting, pathetic, and weak.

Shadowhawk (#10135, Year 1996, Series 4):
When justice failed the innocent, district attorney Paul Johnstone fashioned the silver and black garb of the human Bird of Prey: SHADOWHAWK!
