The Life Ball has become one of the top charity events in the fight against AIDS internationally. The net proceeds achieved during this colorful night of solidarity, when international celebrities celebrate side by side with wild party people from all walks of life, are distributed amongst different Austrian AIDS organizations. Each Life Ball is presented under the creative wing of a top fashion designer such as Thierry Mugler, John Galliano, Jean Paul Gaultier, Paco Rabanne, Vivienne Westwood and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac in the past years. For Life Ball 99, six world-stars of fashion, Christian Lacroix, Paco Rabanne, Vivienne Westwood, Julien Macdonald, Jeremy Scott and Philip Treacy - demonstrated their solidarity and present their most sparkling outfits in a joint show. The French Haute Couture designer Christian Lacroix created, exclusively for Aids Life, the ball dress for Life Ball Barbie 99. The doll is offered worldwide in a strictly limited edition of 500 pieces. The total net proceeds will benefit Austrian AIDS organizations.
